Public Video Art Practicum
A practicum that explored the workflow, tools, and methodologies of synchronized multi-channel video installation. Extended existing knowledge in time-based content creation (video, stop motion, algorithmic, motion graphics, etc.). Planned, executed, and exhibited work on the Great Wall at the Gordon Hotel - a 21 screen video wall that is open to the public in Eugene, Oregon.
Eugene (2023)
Leveraging the capabilities of the DJI Mini 2 drone, I curated footage showcasing various parts of Eugene, Oregon. This endeavor was particularly meaningful as it was my final year at the University of Oregon, prompting me to pay homage to the first city I moved to by selecting it as the focal point for my final project.
My objective was to offer a fresh perspective on the city's historic and iconic landmarks, capturing their essence from unique angles. Drawing upon the skills honed over the previous year, I used Adobe After Effects to seamlessly integrate and synchronize the content across 21 different screens.
I also used Adobe Premiere Pro to leverage its capabilities to enhance each of my videos. My primary focus was on careful color grading and correction, ensuring a harmonious and visually pleasing aesthetic. Using the pen tool, I isolated and adjusted the bright whites within each video, toning them up or down to establish an overall even color dynamic.
I also learned to implement the feathering effect. This technique allowed me to soften and seamlessly blend in edits, ensuring a fluid and polished transition within the overall video composition.

Mountains (2022)
In Adobe After Effects, I created a time-lapse sequence, bringing mountains to life over an extended period. My approach emphasized simplicity, setting the stage for a gradual, suspenseful reveal of the scene.
To heighten the composition, I choreographed a bird, flying across the screens, elevating the visual and engagement of the project. I animated the moon to gradually spin. Additionally, I strengthened my H.264 video formatting skills and executed precise rendering of 1080p videos using Adobe Media Encoder. This process was replicated 21 times, ensuring consistently high-quality output.
I am proud to note that this project was selected for presentation at the Gordon Hotel, on the iconic Gordon Wall in Eugene, Oregon, where it remained on display for a duration of twelve months.
